Three decades inside Gulf Coast plants

Ventrell started in 1996 as a four-man welding crew working maintenance at the plants along the river. Owners kept asking the crew to take on the next piece of the job, so we added pipefitters, then ironworkers, then a concrete crew and our own equipment.

Today we are about 310 craft and staff, with a fabrication shop and equipment yard in Gonzales. We self-perform six trades because the handoffs between contractors are where schedules slip and where people get hurt.

Most of our customers have used us for more than ten years. We would rather keep those relationships than win a job we cannot staff properly.
